Do you ship internationally?

Yes. I’ve shipped to Canada several times with no delay or problems. Shipping to Europe, New Zealand and Australia takes longer and costs more, but I’ve had success shipping to these places as well. Shipping rates beyond the US and Canada are $9.95 up to $29.94 in purchases; $12.95 up to $49.89 in purchases; $15.95 for $49.90 and up.

Will my rats chew the Ratz Paks, Hammocks, Toobs, etc?

Probably. Since you’ll be wearing the Ratz Pak when your rats are in it, chances are they won’t chew that much. But left alone in their cages, they may gnaw on their other accessories. That’s what rats do. Some more than others. I use the best quality fleece I can buy, and rats don’t chew fleece as much as other fabrics. Another nice thing about the fleece it that its very forgiving: If your rat chews the top cover of a hammock, no big deal, its now “customized”. If they chew off the corners, you can always poke another hole in the corner and use twist ties, zip ties, pipe cleaners or some other creative thing to attach the hammock to the cage. The fleece will not run or fray like other fabrics.

You can pretty much use the hammocks and toobs and caves until they are in tatters. They are machine washable and dry-able (did I spell that right?) and so you can use them for quite some time. Think of the accessories as a treasured lovey for your rats, they are economical but need to be replaced now and then, just like food, bedding, etc.

Will my rat try to climb out of the Ratz Pak?

Some rats are more active than others, so if your rat is hard to hold to begin with then it may try to climb out. In this case, start off only keeping you rat in there for short periods of time until they get used to it. Most rats are less active in the daytime, and certainly older rats are more sedate. It just depends on your rat’s personality. You can also pet your rat while its in the Pak if it likes being petted, or give him something to nibble on. Please don’t let young children go unsupervised while keeping their rat in the Ratz Pak just in case the rat tries to wriggle out in a non-rat friendly place!

What if I get your products and I don’t like them? Can I return them?

Rat Happy was a business idea of mine that I actually pursued. I’ve had many ideas and inventions in my life, and this is the first time I’ve actually done something about it.

I saw a need, our need, for a rat carrier. The Ratz Paks use a inefficient amount of fabric by nature, and so I expanded into hammocks, tunnels, etc. to make good use of the leftover fabric. I hate waste!

I make Ratz Paks and my other accessories out of my love for rats. If I had known about rats being such great pets 40 years ago, my rat owning history would date back to the 1960s.

I have demonstrated what my products are about as well as I can through descriptions and photos. If, after seeing what I have shown, you order any of my products and you are not happy with what you receive, then yes, of course I will refund your purchase upon return. As you can imagine, I am not making a living selling rat accessories. I do this because its fun. If you’re not happy with any of my products, send them back and I will refund your money, minus shipping charges and plus a little guilt for your not appreciating my handiwork. ;=>

I make all the Rat Happy products by hand, and they are a reflection of my own work ethics. So, if you’re dissatisfied in any way, please tell me why. I want to know so I can improve my products.
